What Happened to Marvel’s Animated Universe?

One of the things that I have liked about Marvel currently outside of its cinematic universe has been their television series like Avenger’s Assemble, EMH and Ultimate Spider-Man, but there is something that I think for the past few years that has been missing. How come there isn’t that much of an animated universe.

There have been a few films out since Marvel Animation opened their doors in 2008 where they have brought out 8 films, however the last film came out in 2011. I think that this is something that could be easily rectified since that the animation that they have put in for the TV series is amazing and that for a feature film it would be good to see.

I think that using the animation that they have at hand could be a good way that they could tell stories from the different series such as notable stories such as Civil War, Secret Invasion or Siege since that seeing it from the source material would be a lot different from what the Cinematic Universe could be coming up with since that they usually just use the story from the comics more as a guideline than an actual story.

But things seem that they could be on the for animated films, however this won’t be coming from Marvel Animation, but from Sony Animation with their animation take for Spider-Man that is still currently in pre-production and currently what is known is this. The film is set to come out next December. Miles Morales is going to be the Spider-Man instead of being Peter Parker and that Shameik Moor would be voicing Miles as well as Levi Schreiber, former Sabertooth, would be voicing a villain.

Hopefully people will go and see this and if it makes a good enough profit and gets good reviews we may see some animated films from Marvel more often.
